Free Show TONIGHT @ Foundry24!

Our company is fortunate enough to work in an office that’s easily converted to party space. We’ve taken advantage of this chameleon property before — most notably for a PIEBALD DVD release party back in September and our pre-SXSW party in the beginning of March — and are doing it all over again tonight for the Backyard Blowout! In partnership with Ryan’s Smashing Life and Strewnshank Studios, we’ll be hosting a summery, beach/pool-themed show featuring performances by Atlanta-based BABY BABY and Boston locals The Beatings.

The two bands played a set together at SXSW this year that received rave reviews, so to say we’re on the edge of our seats for tonight’s performances would be an understatement. You can find videos of both bands by clicking the “Keep Reading” link at the bottom of this post. On top of the great musical synergy to be had this evening, we’re not charging a dime to anyone who wants to be a part of it. Furthermore, free drinks will be provided courtesy of our partners vitaminwater, Ultimat Vodka, Magner’s Irish Cider, and Pabst Blue Ribbon! Hungry? We’ll be grilling hot dogs in the back parking lot as well before the music gets going, also free of charge. You can learn more about the event on the poster below, our Facebook event page and through Ryan’s Smashing Life’s Blog Post. If you plan on attending, be sure to RSVP on our Eventbrite page. Hope to see you tonight!

BABY BABY will blind you with their neon and wow you with their over the top performance. Hailing from Atlanta, these dudes epitomize the DIY ethic and are currently on a nationwide tour in support of their most recent LP, Money. Check out the awesome video (which happens to be the inspiration for tonight’s theme) for their single “Fire” below.

The Beatings have been entrenched in the local Boston rock scene for quite some time now, and represented our city very well with a killer performance down at SXSW this year. Check out their video for “All The Things You’ve Been Missing” below!
